Finally got round to reading this. I wonder how it went and if they are doing what they wanted to do.  We dont hear much about this problem at the moment but I am sure they are still having to deal with a big mess!

that seems to be eternal over in Japan they dont get a very long run at it at all. and in ?Australia we are going the same way. the media are vicious and relentless on trying to influence government!

Well, in the states the media are sometimes a part of politics.  TV stations pretend to tell the truth while really manufacturing lies to influence the public purely to drive a political opinion.  They are not news bodies at all.
