I found following article by Anthony Hurley on role of man in Ballroom Dance and thought I'd share with other PDO members.

which is something that I have said to many people. that a good partnership is only as good as the man.  I take Mirko and Alessia betti as an example. he is back to number two and she could only get as high at 10th before she retired.  If it were the other way round she woulde have been back in a similar place.

I suspect you are right - but the test will be if her partner after Mirko, Angelo Madonia does better with his new partner, Antonella Decarolis.  I mean its also possible that Mirko was the person that carried that partnership...

The opposite might be true for Katusha Demidova Wink

yes he is well into his 70's.  He gives lessons and lectures quite regularly.  Have attended one of his lectures.  Was very good Smiley mm

Anthony Hurley teaches on the Gold Coast and is one of my son and his partner's coach. He's a wonderful teacher and we're so lucky to have him living here in Australia now.

Anthony has a heap of Aussie couples and also some of the world's top couples fly in to have lessons from him.
