This topic is a shot in the dark Smiley  See Happy Box but I was very pleased to discover that a lot of the volunteers at our provincial championships yesterday read PDO.  Without you guys we could not be there and there would be no dance.  And second I'd love to hear from you on why you do it, what you do and also, most important what you think of competitions and competitors (in a general way of course).  Perhaps you have ideas to improve how they are run - its usually the people doing things that know how to do them best (same in my work).

I hope at least one or two of you do sign up here and share - it would be wonderful to compare this world wide.  Remember PDO can not exist without people who post - so maybe a little volunteering here too?

And one more thing THAN YOU for making these competitions possible.

If you must leave the house, go build a home...

I always like to thank them all if possible, even whan I go to Quebec.  Without them there would be no comps.  My DP I will be helping out again this year at the Spring Danceport.  I'm not sure what he is doing this year but I will be handling the front table again on one or both days then dancing in the evening.

Everyone tries to rush up through the syllabus levles and think once they are at the top they have arrived.  What they don't realize is that by doing this it is like skimming through a book, you may get the gist but you will never understand the story.
