patootie as in 'my sweet and adorable patootie' Huh
OK so I have no idea.

hubris: cross between hubbub and debri.

Obviously whats left after soccer mum's fight over their respective children's right to play centrefield.

OK so I'm not so good on that either Undecided

HUbris means haughtiness, pride or arrogance and often indicates a loss of contact with reality and an overestimation of one ... or, as I like to say "a legend in their own mind".

gosh that really makes me a hube then. I lost contact with reality years okay..not sure I'm a legend in my own mind except in an underdog sense.

but rugby's def and mine are not necessarily at odds...i only pointed to how hubris (haughtiness or arrogance) has a connection to modesty. hubris can often off-set low-self-esteen, which acute modesty can exemplify. and acute modesty can also hide deeply rooted hubris.

things on the surface may only be a fraction of what's really going on in someone's psyche.
