Depends how my results were...

I used to go through the most extreme mood swings - and I think just because of that.  I must say having a partner helps a lot - you can commiserate with someone and parcel out blame , which makes you feel a lot better even if its not true.  While my new emphasis on performing has not got rid of these swings I think it has moderated them a bit - the highs as well as the lows.

Yup...

Often after we've just finished the dance I'll be on a high, especially if we've danced well, or it felt good. A little bit later, I'll start to doubt...we did this wrong, that wrong, etc.
By the time the results are out, I'll be normal again.

But after the whole thing's over, unless we did truly terribly (not making any finals, coming last, etc.), I manage to convince myself that we did ok.

I have yet to feel really bad. I am very realistic about my results, we do what we do on the day, and we cant change anything. What does annoy me when others may get higher in the results than you think they should but  again I cant change any of that. Wait to see I am sure a some stage I will have those feelings.
I would find getting low after the comp very tiring and I would rather not.

But I wait to see as I am sure it may happen to me one day.

So you have no mood swings at all?  I'm partly jealous - when I get down its really down - and partially sorry for you since the ups can be amazing !

no I am not one to mood swing....it frustrates the pants off V who does. that does not mean I dont get annoyed but I move on very quickly. I find life easier to cope with if I do that.
