Yes. There's that curve (can't remember what it's called)  There's a sweet spot where you have just enough nerves to maximize your performance.   Not enough stress is bad for performance, just as is too much stress.

Yes.  There's that old saying. I can't remember it verbatim, but it's something to do with butterflies in formation.  That's ideal.  Enough nervousness to cause butterflies, but just enough control.

We have an expression saying no nerves no form. I must say that I dont have nerves that plague me. but occasionally the day prior to the event I get the nervy feeling.
