Dancin' the one-step!

And yet ANOTHER delightful afternoon @ Waltz Play, this one lady gave me tons of compliments on how I lead turns. Had a blast,a nd even got the hang of One-Step

That's funny, because we have a standard joke at our studio: Whenever a two-step is played, you're supposed to say, "This is a two-step. It is not a one-step, nor is it a three-step or a four-step. [Assume Monty Python voice] Five... is
right out
!"

Well, they CLAIM its a one step but I definitely saw their legs do two steps AND there was at least 5 'step' variations in their routine. Sure it was boring but one-step? I don't think so.
To do a one step really effectively you need to be a theoretical monopod (TM applied for).

which is a creature invented my my prof in england to teach the mechanics of movement. A theoretical monopod simplifies the issues of weight, gravity, inertia and movement. I've always been rather fond of the creature ever since....
