Ok!

Since I started the jealousy topic, I need some help from you guys.
Recently, I have stopped reading books. I know it's shameful.

Please recommend some books that I can read and make me smart or intelligent.

To which I am hoplessly retarded since I don't read myself anymore Undecided

reading books to make you more intelligent is actually a futile excesize - the only reason to read a book is because you are actually interested in the contet.  What interests you?  Read that - but then let it take you places, that is be open to other ideas.  If you see something mentioned then pursue it.  That kind of 'contextural' learning gives you a body of knowledge rather than just little holes of it.

Really? I sometimes read books in the contents that are not interesting for me. That probably is the reason I ask you guys recommend some books for me. Because I feel like just reading subjects that I am interested limits myself into certain things and will never find what my real abilities are.  Roll Eyes

I loved "The brain that changes itself" by Norman Doidge. It reads very well, and is very fascinating.

Look it up on Amazon. It has a lot of good reviews Smiley

Oh snap.

I've found a love of history through reading historical fiction, though. Sure, it's not all entirely accurate, but it's fun to read, and when it's done well, it's so, so vivid.

I'm definitely a fiction person though...I'm ashamed to admit that the only non-fiction books I read for pleasure are grammar and style manuals.
