just watched a slow fox vid of GG&A yet again -- "breathtaking" is the word i would use <snip>
it looks to me like these two are bringing out the very best in each other. who knows... this may go down as one of the best BR partnerships in history.

I have watched those vids, particularly of that foxtrot, over and over. Let me say that I have never seen what was the big deal with GG; he just wasn't doing it for me. Those videos changed my opinion 180 degrees. I agree w/ you, Sami; GG and Anna may well be one of the partnerships people talk about for decades.

Gorgeous.

You should watch in person if you have a chance. Like I mentioned ( I don't dance standard that much, but still.....), there is something special in the partnership. V and A or A and K was spectacular, but I did feel something different from GG and A.

 You mean you weren't on the floor level, with a camera pointed at the competitors? Cheezt. I'd ask Gary McDonald for my money back.

What I would not have given to be there... Next year, I'm booking a seat at Manhattan for the Standard final. I don't care if it's 4th of July and I "always" do the 4th so a zillion guests are expecting to be at my house. A girl's entitled to her pleasures. I MUST see the room full of energy. My instructor, who was judging both at Manhattan and at Embassy, spoke glowingly of the energy in the room at both comps. I MUST see/feel this. MUST. And Brooklyn is so close. World-class Standard in my own back yard. I'm THERE!

were you able to isolate the link for that particular fox? i found it was just the main vid page and i still had to scroll way down to locate the vid i wanted.

that's the one. It takes forever to scroll to, but it's worth it. The search function might be more useful if there were clearer identifying titles, i.e. "pro standard slow fox 1" etc. but I'm grateful enough to have been able to find it at all.
