Actually, that would be the definition of an optimist... one who tries even when they know they are going to fail: they always have the feeling they are going to defy gravity.  (not sure why I am using the 'they' word - that would be me...)

A true pessimist doesn't even go there...

being pessimistic is for me a waste of energy....being dispondent every now and then, I do fall into that.

I figure my thoughts are pessimistic enough without me admitting to be a pessimist.

I'm not, usually.

But forgive me if I don't read this thread often...the less negativity around me the better.
