how much is a lobster there?

In the grocery store -- $12 - $15/pound, so probably about $25 each, if you buy them live from the tank. Most grocery stores don't sell them except around holidays or special occasions.

Lobster tail prices are all over the place, depending on frozen or fresh, what store you're buying them from, whether they're a price leader that week, etc.

I haven't ordered a whole lobster in a restaurant in so long that I can't quote prices with any confidence, especially since the last time I did, I wasn't paying.  Grin

Today, lobster tails were in "sale."  Two 5 ounce tales for $10.  I guess it's because tomorrow is Father's Day.

About the same price. $15 for almost a pound.

Exactly. Which is why I never buy the tails. If I want lobster, I just drive to the (expensive) market that sells the real thing.
