It's almost impossible to find lamb here.  Only around major holidays are the roasts and legs available at all.  Other times of year, all one can find is overpriced, teeny, tiny chops, and even that is ridiculously overpriced. (This coming from a person who grew up in a Jewish section of Philadelphia.  Yes Jewish is pertinent.)   You could find good quality inexpensive lamb all year round.

In Texas, it's all beef, all the time.

DS had roast chicken and wild rice.  I had a glass of wine and an early Zzzzz.  Must try to incorporate actual food into my dinner, today.  Grin

Noodles.  Not the healthiest or most imaginative meal. It's true.  But I'd already made DS shrimp (to which I am allergic) and didn't have energy to make a second meal for myself.

So noodles it was.   Quick, cheap and easy.

When I was single, I used to do that -- cook a large pot of soup or stew or something, then eat it all week.  I enjoyed that.

Really hard to do when your kid is as persnickety as mine. *sigh*

chicken stir fry.  Compromise with the kid, who likes shrimp stir fry.   But I can't eat shrimp, and i was hungry for real food tonight. Smiley

Dinner?  Who me?  Make dinner? I think I should get residual brownie points for having made dinner yesterday.
