Irony - feroucious ideas...

Alanis Morissette has no clue what irony is. Her whole song "Isn't it Ironic" contains only one instance of irony in it and it's not in the lyrics: it's the fact that she's singing a song about irony which has absoutely no instance of irony in it. However, she's so convinced that all the instances she names are ironic. Am I missing something about that song?

Perhaps I should take the 'stray off topic' - but it seems sort of nicely ironic...

sheesh, ironically ironic...
irony squared?
def :irony
c.1500, from L. ironia, from Gk. eironeia, from eiron "dissembler," perhaps related to eirein "to speak" (see verb). Used in Gk. of affected ignorance, especially that of Socrates.
