live competition streaming

A couple of comps* have now had live video streaming. Do y'all like it, or is it just another techno-toy you could do without? After all, this time last year, it didn't exist, and you didn't miss it...

*Emerald, I think, and Yankee Classic is streaming live this weekend, are the two I know of; think maybe Cancun did it, too

Heat lists are on the Registration page. Makes no sense.

Your pro is dancing? I"ll be there Friday and Saturday nights and will pay attention!

the Monaco Event was going to be streamed but it did not work very well, if they could provided a good connection, I would love to watch events online....

Just heard that they decided not to go - so I'm pretty sure you didn't see them

I think this is very cool idea, the attempt is very noble, however the technology is so new  - blurry screen (if you enlarge the screen, it gets more blurry), so blurry to a point it is very hard to identify who is who unless you recognize the lady’s dress or someone’s dance routine; very staticky sounds; Last weekend due to my knee injury, I was resting at home so I experienced life stream of Yankee Classic, the comp I was supposed to dance but scratched, I was on my new MAC book, this mac book usually have very good picture/image and sounds, but with this life streaming, it makes weird sounds sometimes, and very blurry images. If you check YC stream site, a lot of people had posted complaints about poor sound and blurry imaging except one person says he has good sound/good images, really not sure how that person got good image/sounds???

yes. I agree with you SD.. I tried to the Monaco Festival last year and it did not work at all but when I wsent to the webstie after to try again, it had loading issues and stop and started....very poor, when it can work it will be great and i will be a regular customer

Yap, I hope the technology can improve; but still, I wish I could be dancing on the floor, not get injured sitting at home, watching live stream and complain bad imaging/sound..

I think it has something to do with the sped of the network. in australia we have slow internet by European Standards

looks like OSB will be broadcasting live this year. be up to date on the details by going to the OHIO STAR BALL website and sign up for their newsletter. For those of you in other countries .... here in the US for pro/am OSB is like the big comp we all look forward to and usdc too, which just finished in fl.
