well I am surprised at the number of ballroom dancers that have added me (that didn't know me) and I have asked to be added.

BUT I like the connections because of working, volunteering, and wanting to work in the biz.(and I am slowly getting to know a number of them)

ALSO surprisingly .... it really is a great networking tool for ballroom, AND marketing tool to let a lot of people know with in a weeks time of your goings on if you are a pro, a studio owner, college, club, etc ...

I like it. I like the people I have met. I like how useful it was and probably will be in the future for Atlantic Championship. AND for Ily's dance camps.

Found some great dress designers, jewelry makers, etc ... get's new product info with pics out quickly. (like Ecreator ...  you know ME on here at PDO. LOVE her stuff can not wait to purchase some I am eyeing up) I even added Ept mom (i think)for her dress rentals. (I am eyeing some there for future use)

Great resource if used wisely.

My company uses it too to network and market. (final advisory firm)

just be ye wise.

I use it primarily to keep in touch with people that I don't see often since I'm all over the place.  It's nice to be able to just check in quickly and see what the people I want to keep in touch with are up to.

I don't add anybody I don't know from here or elsewhere, and I don't add people I don't intend to talk to. If  someone adds me, I hope they send a message "Hi from (insert how we know each other)", otherwise if I don't know them from seeing them here, etc. I ignore the request. Had some guy want me to add him, only so he could beat me over the head with a bible. He's still pickin' at mah clawmarks.
