My preference is Fridays. Although, I think the event organizers need to consider all that's going on. When we lived in NY (Eastern LI area), most organizers held events once a month (i.e. 3rd Friday, or 2nd Wednesday), but there was something to do every night of the week because there were so many of them - and not necessarily studios, most were just renting out party space somewhere once a month. Out here there's not as much choice, so weekly party works better. The first studio we had in town had its party on Thursdays, because another place 30-40 minutes away had theirs on Fridays. It was not as convenient because we still had to get up early next day. Then when another studio opened, they had theirs on Friday (and guess what, the attendance was great, not that many people were driving 35 minutes to dance at a social anyway). So since then we always had our socials on Friday unless it is some sort of special event.
