Amateurs: Restrictive Organization rules

There seems to be a wide range in the rules that Amateur dancer organizations put on their members.  We've dealt with advancement rules elsewhere (and in any case it deserves its own topic) but this one is for the following:

Dress (e.g. upper/lower cleavage )
Competition attendance (sanctioned, non-sanctioned etc)
Teaching (Allowed? Can you be paid? etc)

I think that Ontario's rules are some of the strictest and sometimes their logic escapes me but how is it where you are?
