Favourite: La Bomba, Barclay, Excelsior Schottishe
Least Favourite: Evening 3, Gypsy Tap, Merrilyn.
It's a pity I dislike all of the lower level New Vogue dances...
Also, I thought that I shouldn't put more than 3 favourites, but I love all of the Viennese waltz NV dances as well.

It is a difficult thing to say, really as someone said depends on the time sand the music can also make a dance worthwhile doing...If you aksed me next week I may put others on the favorite or dislike list.
And there are some non competition New Vogue Dances that are great to do. or not to do ie Alpine Stroll hey Lioness

The Merrilyn and Tangoette never, ever feel good to dance, even with the best music ever invented.
Tangoette especially is embarrasing. give me La Bomba any day.

Urk...
We always manage to 'conveniently' have to get a drink or clean our shoes during that one, just so mum doesn't pressure us into going up.

I guess they like it because it's relaxed and easy. My problem with it that really no matter how much you try you can't make it any more exciting. DP and I occasionally swap places, but it's just as dull the other way around.
If you suddenly get the urge to learn it, you could follow the couple in front of you easily.

I don't understand why people say the Gypsy Tap and Evening Three Step are boring. There's so much you can do with both dances, some very complex stuff, too.
I guess that's why we always win the march dances. Because everyone else is too bored to realise it's worth a massive percentage of the points and don't practice it.

Actually I agree with you on those dances. I have seen them done by level 3 and above dancers and they can look so nice. I am prepared to do them all..

yep we always have them for level 4 and 5. We spend quite a bit of time on them closer to comp time but I have a lot of trouble with my feet on those dances because there is so much compression happening in the feet - we tend to avoid them between times. 30 minutes of practicing of gypsy tap and I can't walk for 2-3 days. It just kills me. - mummsie
