yes. V said just wash it and if the stones come off glue them back on..... they fall off anyway and I am constantly gluing them back

I collect stones at the competition so I am thrilled that the dress users use Goop and glue similar since that means when the girls sweat or brush against their partners the stones fall off.  This glue is cheaper for the dress makers to use and they don't care if you lose your stones.  I use stretchable flexible glue that holds through the washing machine, sweat, brushing against your partner and so forth.  Best stuff I have ever used.  A lady here in London that makes outfits told me about it and my white dress that she made for me is 10 years old and I have thrown in the washing machine countless times and have only ever lost two stones.

It's called Aleene's Fexible, Stretchable Fabric Glue

On the bottle its say it is a superior formula for embellishing and repairing stretchable fabrics.  Ideal for costumes, T-shirts, dancewear, socks and knits.  It dries clear, is permanent, washable (I use the gentle cylce) and won't crack.

I bought it at Michaels craft store but you can probably buy it at any craft store.  The bottle is white with a teal label and white and orane writing.  It is not overly expensive either and works fantastically.

the stones I use have been iron on, which I did not know they were...but I will look out for that glue as I would love to be able to wash my costume. But I thought even if the stones fall off I can glue them back on again...enough fall off at a comp anyway

But why spend your time gluing if it can be avoided?  Besides, you loose a lot and they are expensive....

the iron one ones fall off their backing so you have to end up gluing them anyway

I tried to tell some of the dress makers in Toronto about the glue and how the lady in London uses it and how good it is and so forth but they said what they had was good enough.  I think they get the Goop cheap and hey, it's not their problem when the dress walks out the door.  Even better when people bring them back to have stones replaced.

of course they dont want to, it is not their problem when it has walked out the door.  I will look to see if I can get it here. I am constantly having to repair fallen stones!

I decided to wash my dress.  I read that it could be done and when we got home tonight we did it only five stones washed off which is good considering I loose about 20 per  comp.....

It is drying now but it looks much better, while it is wet, I wait to see what it is like once it is dry....

it dried very well, just have to iron it now, but will do that in Italy as it will get squashed in the suitcase. I am rolling it up.
