Yes I agree that if I were the competitors at Blackpool I would want the main competition there or the victory would feel hollow.  I know for myself I feel this way at our competitions.

But even on a normal year not all the competitors go - if thats your standard you should never feel a victory was 'real'. 

I think what happens is that if you score well you feel great and if you don't you don't.  Thats my experience anyhow.  Sure, there's a reality check after - but its kinda a 'well we were best on the day' so it still feels good.

I agree that not everyone will go to Blackpool but you still want the ones that usually go to be there, they should only not be there because they have another comp to attend or for their own reason and not because your federation tells you you cant attend.

Is anyone going?  It should be an exciting competition, especially after looking at the marking for the European Prof Latin championships.  Any predictions??  Sadly I am not able to go.

Fortunately, one can keep up with the action pretty well on-line now.

yes I wonder if they will stream it.. the last time I tried to watching a streaming live of a dance it would not work so I was happy that I had not paid any money!

We do names on PDO - as long as the interest is for public events and is positive/constructive - and both qualify here
