Alas, I'm a short-attention-span gamer.  I mainly like simulators and first-person shooters.  I have such a short attention span that I bought an Xbox.  Loads up much faster than a PC.  Still not fast enough for me.  Cheesy

Don't like those at all.
I didn't used to, but the time I could spend on games got shorter, so I had to alter my tastes to get a quick fix.  I tried playing strategy games and adventures, and I would find entire weekends fly by without me getting out of my chair.  I love getting lost in those games but I just can't bring myself to go into that time warp.  I shouldn't say I have a short attention span: I just have a total lack of self control.   Cheesy

One of the load messages in BG2 (the one you get while you are waiting for the next area to load) says "While your character does not need to eat, remember that YOU do. We don't want to lose any dedicated players". But I eventually played all choices I wanted to try in it and set it aside (that this game has been around for a long time as far as video games life span goes). Now I get my gaming fix from Mafia Wars. I use up all the energy in 10 minutes and then there is nothing to do but wait for it to refill.

I use to love some games but others ...well I struggle with them. I can't see the fun in a game that encourages you to steal a car or attack someone to get a car. I wonder if it desensitising young people to lose their values between right and wrong. I think adults of course with a mature outlook can differentiate between right and wrong. Anyone else has an opinion on that?

[This topic is for gamers, not the why's and warefores of them - we can move that into the opinions topic]
