Really not sure. I have two houses, but neither are homes. Probably comes from moving between them so much.

But to take a stab in the dark I'd say: A cat. A loved one. Many books. And somewhere comfortable to relax.

I have lived in so many places all over the world. I have spent months living in hotels and months living in a car. I would say that to me it is more a mental acceptance that this is "home" now then things making me feel at home. I have learned to feel at home no matter where in the world I am. I would say that I have many homes all over the world. I am not sure if this is part of my heritage or just part of learning to survive well.

quite a skill... but surely these homes differ with the degree to which you see them as homes.. ?

trying to avoid an essay here; I think I've spent years of my life feeling homesick since my twenties.

Thankfully I feel I now have ' a place of my own'  ( and contrariwise its why I dont like travelling. I like coming home to my own bed Tongue)
