I third that!
You are all so wonderful and giving. You all show that humanity can be supportive cross cultures, nations and cross levels of expertise. It is an honor to be part of this great forum and share precious time with you. Thank you all.

I would like to compliment my husband. We drove off to practice and went round the corner to find my daughter still at the bus stop as she had to head of to her second job. he turned round and came back to pick her up and then take her into the city. I did not have to say anything, I wonder if she will appreciate his efforts....as sometimes step children don't value such things

Are step children less appreciative than biological ones? I have no experience....

they never fully accept you. form my experience, they are more forgiving of biological parents. I am sure there are some good stories but the ones I know it seems to be the same as mine

I suppose there is always a competition for affection with the biological parent... and maybe a resentment that they do not have their other biological parent any more

but if you're the wicked stepmother..then you're going to have to work twice as hard for your step children to feel the same.
