another tango class, good feedback, and positive improvements especially for the leaders.....

and gave a charity shop silk dress to a friend which fitted nicely.

Out of all the dances in my repertoire, there's ONE that I didn't take lessons for, I taught myself to do Hustle and actually succeeded.  Grin 

At a recent social dance, this one woman I danced a Hustle with asked me where I learned (she was really enjoying the dance), and when I told her matter-of -factly, her jaw dropped in amazement. She then said I did better than some people who had lessons.  Shocked

Another tango class notched up with help from a rather nice couple, and a friend who stepped into the teaching breach and we got a compliment from one couple.

and one chap is practicing and getting good;he led me and we had some fun; blues dancers get tango faster than ballroom dancers ( a sweeping generalisation I know)

thats interesting - maybe because their bodies are more fluid.  Ballroom (least standard) is all about controlled cores, I don't imagine thats such a factor in AT (but don't really know). 

Is it the same for the lead and follow?  I mean do the female blues dancers get tango faster too?  I woudn't expect it - there the salsa ones should be terrific, its a dance where you have to follow perfectly. Real following in ballroom (as appart from knowing or figuring out whats coming next) is, I think, really a rather high-level aspect.

salsa dancers get milonga more quickly than tango; blues followers are better at non-rhythmic following
