my students were moving beautifully last night, enjoying themselves, the lesson plan was derailed but ended up going in a good direction
and people were laughing and chatting and happy when they left at the end of the evening.

Footnote; to self ;you are a great teacher

1) Finally got the hang of West Coast Swing
2) Composed a bunch of music for a historical documentary which I am now editing, pretty fun subject matter too, it's railroad related. Getting paid for doing something I love.

Got invited to the Gairdner awards reception.  Not a biggie but it will be fun to meet the new awardees in person - including one scientist I know quite well.

Wonder of wonders, HORROR OF HORRORS, I am now starting to write my first book, something I would NEVER have dreamed of or considered previously in a billion years! My working title is "The Ursine Low Woodwind Club" a collection of observations, ramblings, rants and remembrances covering subjects as far flung as devious bears, music careers, instant clothes changers and The Pangean People's Liberation Front.  Grin

Really?  I'm awful at it.  My mind only sees concepts, not words.  I've heard pros read it through for major errors and then read it backwards to look for minor ones...
