perhaps one does not really have to know - as long as your percieved stengths are still good then believing in them is what you really need to sell yourself. I think it may take someone else to identify your actual strengths as its hard to evaluate yourself...

I believe they do change as your dancing changes. My DP and I are not dancing like how we can and should but it is a learning process and we have noticed a difference in each comp as we work on this. The real trick is to try and find your strengths and learn to use them to your advantage. Our male coach pointed out two big ones to us that I have and have not overly thought about. At the last comp we decided to focus on one of them and it really paid off. It's for sure still a work in progress but it has given us another direction and it will become a strength for us.

The other thing is that your strengths may change as you become more competent in your dancing That's true, I spent a lot of time on my open position work in smooth before the latest competition, and this time it looked much more improved that my closed hold work. |

not sure technique is linked to experience per se but training and practise... This makes me think about levelling up in a video game. You can play as much as you can and move through levels quickly or you can save it and set it aside for a month. |
