Not at all. You put them in your signature and leave them for about four days. If they haven't grown then you put them other places too. Then you do that again till they are fully grown

You can pick them up from www.dragcave.net. If there are none on that page (they appear down the bottom as dark grey eggs with ? on them) then you can pick up some abandoned ones, here.
You create an account and get a 'scroll', that they are kept on. For example, this is mine.

The FAQ answers most questions, and the forums take care of the rest. I can't actually find the FAQ...but I'm pretty sure it displays it when you first sign up
