What is your 'partner dance' style?

I wish you every success it what your doing, when I get to a much higher standard I too hope to be able to help those to move onto the floor. There is no better passion to help someone learn to dance.

HI. I focus on International Standard and I will be dancing PRO/AM. (Hopefully in July).

I will be competing my first time out in Newcomer and Pre-Bronze.

My goals are to compete International style Standard AND Latin and to do at least 4 competitions a year. (with getting to OSB no later than 2010.) I would like to be a 10 dance dancer eventually, and realize that it will take me some time to do that.

Otherwise in ballroom ... I volunteer and work as many local events as possible and look forward to getting more involved in the USA Dance events to help all the Amateur dancers out there as well as to promote the best of what Partner/Ballroom dancing can do to enrich lives!

I am also "active" in helping out my own studio with events, just the little menial tasks to just be apart of the studio and to alleviate the pros to do what they do best.

And last but not least, starting to go to as many competitions as possible to watch, to meet new people and just be around the fantastic people that makes up the Ballroom community!

I am currently retired from competive dancing. When I competed I did Latin and Standard. I have since moved to the US and are now coaching and teaching all styles here.

I have changed my name, in honor of the new board....it reflects what I hope to do at one time.
I dance Standard, pro/am, when I had a pro, but I will be back to pro/am at some point (when I have a pro again, naturally!).  I'd like to do Smooth at some point as well.

Not a big deal....if you were on UTGWT, I am Stacy.  I posted about a blue million posts about my situation with my pro....so if you absolutely need to know about my background, it is there.

I suppose if I were technologically in the know, I could download a pic.  However, I need to get a camera, get a decent shot of myself (preferably dancing), and figure out how to do it.

Sadly, I'm on a bit of a dancing hiatus right now (though I'm treating myself to a lesson in NYC on Tuesday)

I dance open gold pro/am standard and latin and used to compete.  I will compete again once I'm settled into a new work situation.  Depending on my location, I may even pick up smooth (and maybe rhythm?) again.  I would love to compete as an amateur and I'm looking for a partner.  It's been 3 1/2 years so far, but I'm not giving up!

Hi all!

Being an Aussie, I don't have pro-am etc. so I guess I'm Am-am. I compete in bronze level (which I think is equivalent to the American silver, from the syllabus lists I read) in ballroom, latin, and New Vogue. New Vogue is awesome...it should be spread everywhere. 

As for where I'd like to go with my dancing...when I finish school/uni I'd like to get up to quite a high level, at least in Standard and New Vogue (Latin isn't my strong point at all...even if I could get the technique I wouldn't have the attitude)

I mostly dance AT. From time to time I dabble in other social dances - usually salsa (I love la rueda), but sometimes MJ. I'm currently experimenting with lindy hop.

Hello.

We dance primarily international,  the ten dances except for Paso Doble. We both started with American so can stumble our way through American style rumba, tango and waltz still, and kind of enjoy mixing it up a bit.

We struggle the most with Tango and Viennese Waltz. For some reason, International Tango just doesn't "grab" me. As for the VW, my partner is sure it's me and I'm sure it's him causing our problems
