I didn't post earlier because I couldn't decide on a specific goal.  Sitting here just now, it occurred to me... We started something late in the year that I think needs to be my main goal for this year.  At this point, I don't think I need to learn more about specific dances or steps or techniques -- because I can't execute all of the ones I know now.  My #1 problem at this moment is lack of strength, flexibility, and coordination in my core.  Working on that is going to be my focus for at least the first half of this year.  It's going to be a bit weird because it's going to be more exercises than actual dancing, but from the little bit I've done so far, I can already tell the results.  I can check my progress dancing at socials.

Good for you.  I think you will get more out of that then a bunch of lessons.  As you learn to have better control of your body you may find that problems you have with different moves in dancing may go away or at least be improved.
