I didn't particularly enjoy mine. It was too sweet. And the jam went all over my top

Yes that is a problem the jam. I only like a little bit and not a whole jar....can be very sweet. and I have also dripped it over myslef, so now I cheat and cut it in half and scoop out most of the jam.

Went to a studio NY party with DP - only to discover that it was really an asian get-together party
It was fun and met quite a few new people but at one point during a waltz I realized that I could look clean over every person on the dance floor at that time (there were a few taller people nearby). We got a lot of looks last night - I hope they were admiring our dancing and not just fearing our biomass
Nice time, and a well organized studio party...

We did the whole German traditional New Year, as BF's mum's friends are German. We ate Berlinas for the new year, drank champagne (only a little bit for me) (and they drank a LOT more than champagne..), watched the fireworks, and did lead pouring, which is awesome.
Welcome in, 2010
lead pouring under the influence of champage; my favourite dangerous pastime.

Funny thing is that this is probably legal but lighting a firework is not

Rang in the New Year on the couch with BF. Very satisfied with the Martini & Rossi Asti champagne I got. Lots of smooching at midnight, lots of cuddling this morning! (Like I was going to let him drive an hour and a half back to his parents' on NYE with all the crazy drunkards on the roads...)

Didn't need the champagne for that.
It was lovely stuff though; nice and sweet (I can't STAND dry champagne), lots of bubbles, didn't make you pucker when you drink it.

They are everywhere, it is such a shame. I believe that about 80% of accidents involve alcohol or drugs, which is totally avoidable..
