Yay.  A thread about grammar!

Is anybody besides me sick and tired of seeing apostrophes used to indicate plural rather than possessive?

e.g.  House's = multiple houses, rather than belonging to the house

It drives me crazy!

there is a page on FB which is highly entertaining. i think its called Abolition of the Aberrant Apostrophe or something like that.

I'll look for it.  Thanks.

And I thought Apostrophe's were pals with Jesus?  No?

You must be thinking of Juda's Escariot

There are several Jude's in this conversation, I see. Grin

My kid's English teacher used to give extra credit when he and his classmates would bring in documented examples of poor grammar in everyday life.  What a hoot that was.   It's amazing how many people use horrendous grammar.   When I get a chance, I'll head over to that FB page and see if I can link to any of the images.  I think you folks will enjoy. :-)
