One thing you can practice anywhere and everywhere is your posture!
You are absolutely right - but I would put it more emphatically: one thing you can DO all the time is posture. Good posture is a life-time investment as it takes the stress of your body that can lead to severe problems in time wiht joints and even bone structure.
I hate to say this but posture for living is actually even more important that posture for dance - but why not use the latter as an excuse for the former? Works for me. I used to have a dreadful crane-neck - slung forward off my shoulders. Coaches thought it was a permanent dance liability but its almost imperceptible now - so you can change. And BTW I was in my late 40s when I started to do something about it...
I can second this, I was the same way and had to overcome it too.

its the hardest thing to do isn't it QPO - to stop. struggled with that with my tendon but fortunately, I had to go away for a week so that gave me enough time to at least get a grip on healing
glad its not something worse DalD

yes we can be our own worse enemy...we just don't want to allow ourselves to repair with our need to keep going, but sometimes our strength is to know when to stop and give our body time to recover...Visualizing is good....that our body is repairing and getting stronger...the mind is a powerful thing in the aid of repairing injuries....sleep is also good.

Sleep, what's sleep?
that space when you close your eyes, can remember what you did for 8 hours before opening them up again (if you are lucky)

hm. as far as i see it is not so bad.
i started to dance month and a half after a big knee surgery, and it healed faster, because my muscles haven't become soft.
you don't need to spend $$$ of money on medicine.
put a plastic cup of water with a wooden stick in a freezer and after it become ice, roll it over your foot while stretching it.
