For those that have been to the Aussies often. perhaps you can give tips to those of US that have not been there. Things that we need to consider to make the day less stressful.

take your own food - the food there is shocking. Greasy fish and chips and expensive sandwiches. We usually stop by at Subway on the way to the tram.We also usually get some pre cut fruit from Coles express to take. It is also a long way from the seating to the change rooms so make sure you leave plenty of time. They do have monitors outside the changerooms and also in the food and stall area so you can see where the comp is up to. The marshalling area also gets very hot - its out the back behind the stage and the marshall nazi gets really cranky if you don't get there early. Take some water with you.
The change rooms are enormous - one good thing - normally there are 3 big rooms each for ladies and gents so you can spread out. mummsie

Ok....I don't usually do this, but try to get to the front of the heat when you line up.
Learnt this last year when they put 24 of us on the floor at the same time. The music had started before we even got on the floor, and it was for new vogue too!

I dont know what the ADS is up to or who makes the decisions on what they show, but boy they seem to muck it up. I will start on positives as I dont want to sound like a nag.
It was great to see more standard this year after last years Latin experience, Also it was great to have commentators that actually know what they are talking about.
Again they show very little New Vouge only from the Professionals and not from amateurs. Why not what is wrong with it. The majority of Social dancers out there do New Vouge why not show case it to the world if that is who they will target the footage too. Germany Canada and Singapore, Hong Kong are all doing New Vouge.
Such a lost opportunity. The other thing is that they could have shown the final of the young ones on TV, what a perfect way to promote the sport. I look forward to it each year and come away disappointed. Bold as it could be they could have also shown some Masters....
Sigh
