Amateur only competition that annually uses any profit to support a different charity.  This year its breast cancer.

I like to do it jus because of that - and its good practise though it tends to be small...


I think there's at least two other couples here going....

I had a good time at this comp and got some really great stuff at the silent auction to boot.  We accomplished our goal of just getting out there and letting everything go as it may and have some fun with no pressure or worry of how we were going to do.

For my take on our finally coming out to compete after our over a year off, see my blog.

You have to fight through a lot of crap before you find your way up out of the toilet. Sometimes I think I have a good hold on the rim then I slip back in.  Each time I don't sink quite as deep though. - Rugby

It would be great if more competitions would do this sort of thing.  It is one of the reasons I never miss it and ee is right, at least the entry goes to a worthwhile cause.

well, please excuse the tease because I'm really glad you did - noticing is way more important.

What impressed me this time was I think the judging was different somehow - I thought it was fair!  And thats not because we did particularly well either, its because we did well when we danced well and did less well when we didn't.

How often can you say that?
