yes the evening was good, but when it is not hot you are just confined to the house...and there is only so much you can do in the house

read books, listen to music watch dvds, play the saxophone, make bird cake, listen to the radio, look out the window, go online, make something out of wood, knit sew or crochet, play scrable, chess, cards, snails and ladders, chines chequers, solitaire, tidy, dust and hoover, paint a picture, write a novel, write a letter, down load La Salve by Jprdi Savall from itunes...... watch the Christmas lights on the trree, watch the birds in the garden, cook, .......carnal pleasures   .........etc

That's like the saying that airline pilots have: 90% of the job is utter tedium.  It's the other 10% that they get paid for.

yes, i have remembered to turn on the radio, dvd is broken, waiting on getting it fixed but have watched alot of the things we recorded throughout the year and not had time to watch. but when you are used to being out and training and active, you have to retrain yourself to look and think of other things....by the time our break is over I will have to get use to the normal routine again
