have a swollen wrist/hand from a roller skating fall..landed awkwardly..now two days in should I pit ice on it?
ice is always helpful - but obviously the sooner you start the better.
ooops ice 20 minutes on and off would have been better to start earlier but better late than never.

yes.... could be worse. I heard today that friend of my fathers came off his bike and was run over by a truck and lost an arm and a leg on one side of his body!....makes my knee problems quite insignificant.

had post operative appointment with the Specialist today who informed me that I have no cartilage left in my knee, he said it is so compromised that he takes his hat off to me to dance like I do. He wants me to have two knee replacements. But only when I am ready and of course I am not.... Devastated is the word.

ah, saw this one after the other...
How many facets need to be replaced? This is very important since they require different disturbance of the tendons. If only one you really can have legs that dance as before - I know because my exDP had exactly that and he was far better AFTER the surgery than before.

You may have some choices - they might want you to have all the caps replaced at teh same time - but there may be the option of only replacing the top ones. Stress that you want to get back to dancing and hence want the minimum surgery route (though be aware that it will probably mean another surgery in a few years - but I've always opted for the minimum interference necessary - so I still have two of my wisdom teeth, and they work fine!

yes been investigating and partials only last 10 years and we know quick that goes. I have to wait for 12 months as I upt the policy aso that will give me time tio think about it.
Everyone is saying to be cautious and wait to see how it recovers from this procedure, but I do know that time is numbered for the knees but I have only turned 55 and I am not ready to do such a big thing.

I started some pretty strong pain killers today, and they're making me a little weird in the head. On the plus side they're reducing pain considerably!
